Séminaire OpenWeb 2.0 : Technologies, stratégies & issues.

« Web 2.0 is an open system focusing on users and interactivity services, facing the challenge between self control and barbarism.»

Natiw (Nomades advanced technologies interactive workshops) has started April 20, 2007 in Geneva a programme of seminars and conferences themed Open Web 2.0.

The first seminar took place at Geneva's Conference Centre of Varembé, featuring some of the most knowledgeable personalities of Internet.

Robert CAILLIAU, co-founder of the Web at CERN, Jesse-James GARRETT, conceptor of Ajax, Bernhard SEEFELD, conceptor of Swiss Maps and a member of the Google Earth team in Zurich, and Prof. Jeffrey HUANG, director of the Media and Design Laboratory at EPFL, brought a prospective insight into the future of the Web and the stakes involved in user-centered applications, services and interactivity.

Other speakers, such as Mathias ECHANOVE, urban planner and Jean-François GROFF, former technical director at Netvibes and creator of successful blogs, identified the characteristics of Web open system and its autoregulatory mechanisms.

The Seminar's final talk was made by Alexander NTOKO, chief of ITU's strategies.

An audience formed by Web professionals, innovation managers working for larger corporations and financial analysts followed with interest this seminar, standing out by its prospective and multidisciplinary approach.

The next conference will be held in November, 2007 and will focus on electronic medias and the development of their audience on the Web.

In the meantime, different workshops will take place, given by world class speakers. Information and videos of OpenWeb 2.0 seminar are allready available on the site Natiw.ch.

Natiw, Nomades advanced technologies interactive workshops, lance une série de séminaires et conférences sur le thème Open Web 2.0 à Genève.

La première rencontre s'est déroulée le 20 avril au Centre de Conférences de Varembé. Elle a réuni une brochette de personnalités de premier plan :

Robert CAILLIAU, co-fondateur du Web au CERN, Jesse-James GARRETT, concepteur d'Ajax, Bernhard SEEFELD, concepteur des Swiss Maps et membre du Google Earth team, ainsi que le professeur Jeffrey HUANG, directeur du laboratoire Media et Design à l'EPFL ont apporté un éclairage prospectif sur l'avenir du Web et sur les enjeux liés aux applications centrées sur l'utilisateur et l'interactivité.

D'autres intervenants, tels que Matias ECHANOVE, urban planer et Jean-François GROFF, ancien directeur technique de Netvibes et concepteur de plusieurs blogs à succès, se sont attachés à identifier les caractéristiques des systèmes ouverts comme le Web et leurs mécanismes d'autorégulation.

Le séminaire a été clôturé par Alexandre NTOKO directeur de la stratégie au près du Secrétaire Général de l'UIT.

Le public composé de professionnels du Web, de responsables de l'innovation dans des grandes sociétés et d'analystes financiers, a suivi avec interêt ce séminaire qui s'est caractérisé par une approche prospective et pluridisciplinaire.

La prochaine conférence portera sur les médias électroniques et le dévéloppement de leur audience sur le web.
